The Fourth Annual "Garrison Ultimate Brew-Off" is back just for you, the hot-shot Maritime homebrewer!

Produce a 5 gal/20li batch of the chosen style (sorry, no kits please) & submit for judging & prizes. Grand prize includes a day with award-winning brewmaster Daniel Girard brewing a full batch of your recipe! We'll release the beer in bottles as a limited edition seasonal, giving you bragging rights... forever! Great prizes as well from contest sponsor Noble Grape.

What you need to know:

• This year's style is: RYE IPA

• Minimum two litres in samples (6x341 or 4x500ml bottles)
• $15 registration fee (entrants get a souvenir t-shirt, two tickets to the awards & a Garrison 6-pack)

Name: Siobhán Gallagher Born: Moncton, NB Major: Design Age: 21 Year: 3 Website: flickr.com/photos/gsiobhan Influences: Jessica Hische, Stefan Sagmeister, Gemma Correll… Favourite medium: A simple 0.4 black roller ball pen can do wonders! Adobe Illustrator is pretty necessary for me too. Dream job: Book cover designer, children's illustrator, or working in editorial design. Sigh! Tunes that inspire the art: An embarrassing playlist consisting almost entirely of '80s one-hit-wonder pop songs and the occasional Talking Heads. What can I say, it's easy to work to? Rainy day activities: Lately all hobbies have been related to schoolwork but I usually read or (far too often) end up scouring design blogs in my free time. What it's like to work with Garrison: It's been a great experience; it's nice to be given a lot of creative freedom with projects like this. What's next: I have a summer graphic design internship at Cossette East (an amazing ad agency) while doing freelance projects in my off time before heading to Philadelphia for the fall semester for more design school! Phew.
