SEASONAL SPECIALTIES

All of our beers are 100% vegan, and preservative free. With the exception of our Wheat beers which are duly noted in the name, all of our beers are 100% wheat free.

In the spirit of craftsmanship and creativity, our brewing team strives to produce a variety of interesting seasonal and specialty brews. As a result, not all products are available at all times. Feel free to contact us at anytime to confirm availability and avoid disappointment. Drink Independently!

PILS

Garrison "PiLs" draws inspiration from several classic styles by blending Czech Saaz hops, German lager yeast and Bluenose spirit to create this crisp, refreshing brew. "Na zdravi!" (To your Health!)

Best with light foods, "PiLs" pairs well with chicken, salads, fish and light sausages (Bratwurst). Also perfect with mild cheddar, Emmental and Swiss cheese.

SPRUCE BEER

North America’s oldest beer style brewed with local Spruce & Fir tips, blackstrap molasses and dates. Dark amber and brown colouring. Aroma is a comforting mix of spruce boughs, caramel malts, molasses and dates. Complex and full-bodied, it balances the crisp bitterness of spruce and fir gum with the warming flavours of molasses and bittersweet chocolate.

GRAND BALTIC PORTER

This traditional beer style was originally brewed in countries bordering the Baltic Sea. Although derived from English porters, it was mostly influenced by Russian imperial stouts. Typically, the Baltic porters are brewed with lager yeasts and are smoother than the imperial stouts. Grand Baltic Porter is good for the soul and luxurious on a cold Baltic night. Skal!

Over 100kg of Nova Scotia "wet" hops were picked, shipped & added to the kettle in a 24 hour period for this special once a year brew! Thanks to Meander River Farm, Wysmykal Farm, Fiddlehop Farm & Ross Farm Museum.

Alright, so Scott Tilford's a good guy & all but does he deserve his own beer? Absolutely! As winner of the 2010 Ultimate Brew-Off, Scott & Daniel scaled-up & brewed his tasty Belgian Witbier for all to enjoy. A refreshing, elegant and crisp Belgian-inspired wheat ale. Cheers!.

SUGAR MOON MAPLE

Truly Canadian Ale brewed with Nova Scotia maple syrup from "Sugar Moon Farms" (www.sugarmoon.ca). The term was originally coined by Native Americans for the sugaring season, and this is definitely a brew to be enjoyed under a cold sugar moon! Available in April and May.

OL' FOG BURNER

The biggest of all beers, "Ol' Fog Burner" Barley Wine is an exceptionally mellow and complex ale. It's tawny copper colour and subtle sweet spiciness transcend boundaries and expectations. Suitable for cellaring.

OL' FOG BURNER (BARREL-AGED)

This extremely limited edition Barley Wine was aged 11 months in oak barrels that once held Glen Breton Rare single-malt. Vanilla, caramel & whiskey notes offer a true taste of the Highlands. Sláinte!
